how likely is it that i have insulin resistance, if my random blood glucose levels are normal?

i have to wait a few weeks for an ovarian scan to rule out PCOS as the cause of my irregular, infrequent menstrual cycle, & i heard insulin resistance can cause this. i have had many blood tests done before, one a few weeks back, and my glucose levels are always normal. is it likely i could have insulin resistance despite this? i am BMI of 20.5.

Is my A1c okay or should I be concerned?

I developed gestational diabetes during my last pregnancy, so I am concerned about developing type 2. I did a 2 hour OGTT 8 weeks after having my baby, my fasting was 95 and my 2 hour was 86. Since then I have lost about 30 lbs., so those numbers may have improved? I just did a home A1c test and the reading was 5.4…which I see is in the non-diabetc range, but I have read a few things indicating that an a1c of 5.4, combined with other risk factors can indicate you are prediabetic?

My current BMI is 21.3, no strong family history of diabetes (great-grandmother developed it in her 80s), my gestational diabetes was easily controlled with diet and exercise…so my only risk factor is having had GD…do I have any reason to be concerned about this 5.4? I will taking an OGTT yearly…
